Hammes Company and the nation's leading healthcare group purchasing organization, MedAssets, join into a multi-year contract

BROOKFIELD, Wis., March 26, 2010 - Hammes Company has announced that it has signed a multi-year agreement with MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, one of the nation’s largest group purchasing organizations (GPOs).

The contract, which became effective earlier this year, offers MedAssets’ healthcare provider customers the ability to improve their profitability by reducing costs associated with their outside consulting needs in the areas of strategy and planning,  facility development and real estate.

Hammes Company will offer MedAssets’ GPO customers a full range of services related to capital project planning and implementation as well as real estate consulting and third-party development services.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for Hammes Company to partner with another leader in the healthcare industry to deliver significant cost savings to all of MedAssets’ hospital and health system customers,” stated Rich Galling, President and COO of Hammes Company. “Providing opportunities to cut costs is crucial to move projects forward in this tough economic environment.”

“Our agreement with Hammes Company offers a unique approach which combines their real estate and project management expertise with our Construction Services program. A turn-key approach to identify savings in these critical areas can benefit our customers with their capital and construction planning activities,” said Mark Miriani, President of MedAssets Supply Chain Systems.
