Hammes Company was engaged to conduct a high-level strategic Master Facility Plan for St. Vincent Health System (SVH), a ministry of Ascension Health. The plan included a review of existing or planned capital and facility projects, identification of market-based growth opportunities and related facility implications, and a review of operational flow and processes of major patient-related departments.
Each individual ministry in this large project received a customized report identifying specific volume projections, growth and/or operational improvement opportunities, and a unique facility/capital project list. The overall findings and recommendations were summarized into a system-level report to SVH for the evaluation and prioritization of facility and capital initiatives across all ministries. The facility assessment included:
- Six Critical Access Hospitals
- Three General Acute Care Community Hospitals
- Specialty Women’s Hospital
- Tertiary Care Campus, including St. Vincent Indianapolis and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent
- Long-term Acute Care Hospital
