System Owner’s Representative
Hammes Company is acting as the “virtual” Vice President of Construction and Design for the Sisters of Charity Leavenworth Health System (SCLHS). Reporting directly to the COO of the national system, Hammes Company has oversight responsibility for all of the capital projects systemwide as they move through the planning and implementation phases.
Capital Construction Project Guide
Hammes Company developed a resource guide for the local affiliates that provides tools, templates, and other guidance related to the planning and implementation of their capital projects. It also provides the approval framework/roadmap for the local affiliates to follow as they seek capital funding approval from the system office for their projects.
Medical Office Building Redevelopment and Ownership
Hammes Company acquired a six-story, 160,000 SF building across the street from Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California and converted the space from commercial use to a medical office building. This important adaptive re-use project allowed the hospital to attract new physicians to the campus and broaden their services. Hammes Company was involved in the financing, securing a zoning variance from the City of Santa Monica, leasing space to independent physician practices and large medical groups, and managing the shell and core upgrades and tenant improvement construction.
