Hammes Company tops healthcare developer rankings once more

MILWAUKEE, March 25, 2015 – Hammes Company has once again topped the annual list of America’s leading healthcare facility developers.

Hammes Company completed projects totaling 3 million square feet and valued more than $1.25 billion, according to Modern Healthcare magazine’s 36th annual Construction and Design Survey, released March 20.

Two notable projects that contributed to the top ranking include Little Company of Mary Hospital’s $76 million bed tower expansion and renovation in Evergreen Park, Ill., and Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women in Memphis, Tenn., Little Company of Mary’s new tower includes 96 new, all-private medical/surgery beds, designating LCM the only hospital in Chicago's southwestern suburbs to offer private rooms. Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, a 49,000 SF medical center, opened in 2014. It is currently the only freestanding emergency department in Memphis and is staffed by pediatric nurses, pediatric surgeons and emergency physicians.

Hammes Company has finished at or near the top of the list of top healthcare facility developers for the past 16 years, holding the No. 1 spot all but two of those years.

“We are honored to again hold this top ranking once again, and to have completed more influential and innovative healthcare projects in 2014,” says Richard Galling, President and COO of Hammes Company.

“Hammes Company has always striven to provide the best solutions for exceptional healthcare projects that answer our clients’ needs and the needs of their communities,” further says Galling.

“Once again earning the top spot among healthcare facility developers means we are fulfilling that goal. In 2015, we look forward to another great year for Hammes Company, and providing our valued clientele with continued successful and strategic healthcare development.”
