St. Francis tower signals even better healthcare for Grand Island

GRAND ISLAND, Neb., Healthcare in Grand Island and central Nebraska is taking a giant leap forward this month. St. Francis Medical Center is opening its new $65 million tower that is nine stories high and features 163 private patient rooms. The tower is being dedicated today and the first patients are scheduled to be cared for there on Sept. 24, 2007.

The beautiful building now towers above the horizon in west-central Grand Island, being seen from miles away. That is fitting, as the new building's significance for Grand Island is towering.

The new St. Francis patient tower gives Grand Island a healthcare facility of which there is nothing comparable between Lincoln and Denver. While Grand Island has always had quality healthcare, this takes it to another level.
