This year’s conference will be held from Oct. 11 through Oct. 14 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park.

Ms. Sullivan will be joined by two healthcare executives, including Tom Kruse, Chief Strategy, Integration and Innovation Officer from CHI Franciscan Health, a leading non-profit hospital system located in Tacoma, Wash., to present “Business Planning, Part A & B” on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 9 a.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 8:30 a.m. at the conference site. Mark Coughlin, Partner at Capital Healthcare Planning, will round out the panelists.

The advanced session will provide real-world business planning experience that addresses current industry challenges, including those affecting strategic, operational, financial and facility considerations. During the second half of the two-part session, the panelists will provide specific tools and templates that will help support a comprehensive analysis and presentation of key business elements supporting a potential opportunity. These efforts can result in a written business plan which addresses all contributing factors and inherent risks.

Ms. Sullivan is a senior healthcare executive with more than 20 years of strategic and business planning, marketing, physician relations and business development experience. Currently she is responsible for leading and managing the leading healthcare consulting firm’s work with large, multistate healthcare systems as well as overseeing the company’s marketing, communication and public relations activities.

Within our firm, it’s clear that we as healthcare strategists must have a keen eye to the current environment, in order to guide our provider clients effectively in their strategy and planning endeavors,” explained Ms. Sullivan.

Our two-part panel will outline the traditional business planning processes and components while making a case for a new approach to planning based on best practices from across the country and using successful examples outside of the healthcare industry.

Ms. Sullivan will be joined by Mr. Kruse, a seasoned healthcare executive who is currently accountable for the systemwide strategy and regional business development, marketing, clinical and operational integration, and bringing innovation to care delivery and customer expectations for CHI Franciscan Health.
