Hammes Company top ranked healthcare facility developer once again

BROOKFIELD, Wis., April 6, 2010 – Hammes Company once again topped Modern Healthcare magazine’s Construction & Design Survey rankings released last month. Ranked above 20 other competing healthcare development firms, Hammes Company surpassed all others by completing more than $1.187 billion in volume in 2009.

"This recognition by Modern Healthcare is a testament to our tremendous dedication and national efforts in 2009,” says Rich Galling, President and COO of Hammes Company. "Our success of being ranked as one of the top-ranked healthcare facility developers for over ten years is due to the collective efforts of our entire team of dedicated and experienced employees.”
Modern Healthcare's 31st annual survey, published in the March 15th edition, compared total construction dollars in 2009 for all qualifying development firms working within the healthcare industry. The survey also reports square footage for the year as well as the percent of work completed within the healthcare arena.
"While 2009 was a tough year across all industries, we relied upon our diversified suite of services to move us forward with engagements from our strong base of clients,” Mr. Galling explained. "We continued to partner with some of the nation’s most renowned hospitals and health systems. We also secured several international engagements to further strengthen our operations.”
Modern Healthcare is a national publication highlighting business news within the healthcare industry. The survey addressed five categories of organizations, including architecture firms, construction management companies, development firms, general contractors, and design/build firms.
